Trainspotting opening scene analysis. Trainspotting is a 1996 British black comedy, that is directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald . The film is based on the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh; the film was released in the United Kingdom on 23 February 1996. In the opening scene of trainspotting we see Renton and spud running down the road, the camera movement and music merge together to match the action on screen. The music immediately starts playing once we see a low angled shot of our characters feet; this could link to how upbeat the characters lifestyle in their opinion. Furthermore when we see the car hit Renton is could be double meaning as throughout the narrative he talks about having a career, so, the car could signify the barrier of drug addiction that stops him having all the stuff mentioned. the positioning of the two characters could suggest that Renton is alwa...

weekly film analysis[29th]

Don’t breathe weekly film analysis. Don’t breathe in a horror film directed by Fede Álvarez and written by Alvarez and Rodo Sayagues, The film was produced by Ghost House Pictures and Good Universe. Additionally, IT received largely positive critical reviews and grossed over 157 million dollars. The producers of this film has made the audience feel bad for our main characters even though they rob innocent people . Before we see the robbery there is a cut to their home life which in some ways makes the audience justify their actions. Throughout the film we see the robbers as the good guys and the home owner as the bad guys. The film is based on a robbery that has gone wrong, throughout the film the use of sound effects is emphasised for irony robbers should be quite. This is done the most at the beginning when the robbers enter the house and are caught out. The sounds of floorboards are made really dramatic as it leaves the audience on their seats as they are bound t...

Film scene

The scene I would of like to made ... https://m.youtube.com/watch?t=6s&v=giGWC-o1mvw The scene I would of wanted to make is the If I stay accident scene. The cinematography and editing in this scene is really good , the shots taken in the scene create good imegary for the audience ,also the pace of the camera movements ,editing and sound are perfectly put together to create tension. Near the beginning of this scene the camera repletivly zooms in and out to mirror her vision, which in my option is affective. Okay The scenery shot in this scene is also makes the scene one of my favourite, it makes the future unexpected as it is calming. Additionally, the editing in this scene is really clever as the same character appears twice in the same shot I think this has been done really well and no confusion was made here.

(22nd)weekly film analysis- if i stay

Image
If i stay is an teen romantic drama directed by R.J Cutler, the film is based of a best selling novel written by Gayle Forman. The film grossed 78.9 million pound when it was released in 2014. If i stay used a parallel narrative , the flashbacks and a normal narrative ,at times it seems like two different stories , one of her life and one on her recovering from her serious injuries. This is how the film introduces its themes of relationships (family, friendship and sexual) and life/death, the film does this by using a complicated structure , it's almost as the characters mind is exploring all the reasons she should stay alive by using flashbacks, although the the voice over is still in past tense. Furthermore the film puts the climax at the beginning of the film before we were able to fully establish the characters life, instead the audiences does this after. This is mainly so the audience builds up a connection , in order for them to feel emotional leading to the big decision...

weekly film analysis-Get Out

weekly film analysis-Get Out. Get out is an american horror film ,directed by Jordan Peele, The film tells the story of a black male who visits his white girlfriends parents. The film grossed 254.6 million dollars against a 4.5 production budget. The  protagonist of the film, Chris Washington tells the story from his perspective ,this is almost like the director wants to put the audience in his shoes of people who are racially abused ,as not everyone in society face these problems. This tends to be done using tacking shots, doing this allows the audience to see everything unfold as the character does ,in some ways this allows the audience to feel like they are facing the trouble with him. In the film the parents of  Rose Armitage are used as a vechical to show racism as a person, instead of using a ghost they put the problem of racism in its place. Get Out, uses a series of close ups of different white peoples faces, but then ...

Trainspotting analysis

Trainspotting is a 1996 British black comedy , that is directed by Danny Boyle and starring Ewan McGregor, Ewen Bremner, Jonny Lee Miller, Kevin McKidd, Robert Carlyle, and Kelly Macdonald . The film is based on the novel of the same name by Irvine Welsh, the film was released in the United Kingdom on 23 February 1996 The film is based on a drug addict who attempts to quit a numerous amount times and then eventually gets his life together, until his friends involve him in a drug deal.  Trainspotting follows a linear structure; the film juxtaposes plenty of ideas. For example, at the beginning of the film the character tommy is represented as good, he doesn't take drugs and has a stable relationship/home; however towards the middle this good character is juxtaposed with a bad character in what he turns into i.e. a drug addict in terrible living condition. This theme is used yet again in the same way but instead with the character Mark, his persona changes from bag to good, thes...
